In my OOTW posts, I’ll be sharing outfits that I wore during the week. My goal is to give you a quick look at how I create my style, including where I sourced my pieces as well as where to find a suitable alternative if applicable. I am constantly making an effort to make my wardrobe more sustainable, primarily through secondhand shopping. With that said, I do still have some firsthand buys. Remember it’s okay to have some balance, as long as you’re constantly making an effort!
Don’t be surprised if you see repeat looks from week to week. I absolutely love repeating, because that means I found something that I feel really amazing in!
Once again, this week I only captured three looks.
Tuesday
Love this look! really comfortable, cozy, everyday outfit. I love this look because it keeps me warm, it’s simple, yet I look completely put together. All you need are a two essentials: a great pair of “boyfriend” or “mom” jeans and a comfortable sweater. These two closet essentials are easy to move around in but look super cute. I love this cream/coffee two-tone sweater. It is super cozy and the block colors add a little something extra to the look.
- Sweater: H&M conscious line
- Belt: Danny’s closet <3
- Pants: Vintage Levi 550, sizo+peny
- Shoes: Plato’s closet
Wednesday
Wednesday was one of my days off. Most days that I have nothing going on, this is exactly what I look like. Minimal makeup, messy bun, and incredibly lazy loungewear. In my opinion, great sweaters are incredibly important for a stylish wardrobe. 3/4 of the year you can find me in sweaters exactly like this. Especially being in Michigan, you have to have a good amount of sweaters of all kinds to keep you warm and help you transition from season to season.
- Sweater: Vintage, J-Bird Vintage
- Leggings: Felina Note: Not a sustainable brand, however seem to be a body poositive brand just from their advertising, which is equally important in my eyes. FYI: these are the most comfortable leggings I have ever worn.
- FuzzySocks:Walgreens. Note: One of my guilty and none sustainable pleasures would be the $1 socks from walgreens. They aren’t necessarily the greatest quality and I have no idea where they are sourced (so unethical, sorrrrrry), however these bring me so much joy throughout the year. Plus if you are someone on a really tight budget, these are incredibly affordable.
Friday
This is my casual Friday look. Most of the day I was working on this blog and then I did go out and do a little shopping. It was a simple day, but I wanted look to have a little more energy than my lazy Wednesday look. Once again, one of my favorite pairs of jeans appear. They are so flattering on all body types and so comfortable! Everyone needs at least one pair of loose-fit denim. Also, nothing completes my style than having at least one of my cats at my side <3.
- Turtleneck: Vintage, Out of Line Vintage
- Belt: Danny’s closet <3
- Jeans: Vintage Levi 550, Sizo+Peny
- Socks: Not sure where I got these. They have been in my wardrobe for at least three years.
As always, I recommend shopping secondhand. Check out apps like depop (my personal favorite secondhand app) and your local thrift and vintage stores to find items similar to what you see here!
